Major Function

Provide complete service regarding timely and accurate information in response to and in anticipation of customer needs.

Essential Functions

• Receives, confirms and processes requests for quotes.
• Launches of new orders to all applicable departments. Enters and releases orders for tooling or special charges. Ensures timely PPAP submission and relays customer approval. Confirms purchase orders.
• Maintains all appropriate files and records pertaining to RFQ’s, completed quotes and customer orders.
• Receives and answers, within established guidelines, customers questions and complaints.
• May quote predetermined prices under established guidelines.
• Processes sample requests and follows up as needed.
• Maintains strong communication with other departments in the division and the corporate support departments.
• Performs general clerical support as required.
• Assists in sales/promotional programs and mailings as directed.
• Performs other tasks as required.
  
  

Education

• High school education.
  
  

Prerequisites For The Job

• Customer service experience.
• Prior automotive manufacturing/sales experience preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years computer experience - PC and mainframe.
