Job Description

Receptionist

Midtown Manhattan | Full-Time, Onsite

My client, a highly regarded and established organization, is seeking a polished, personable, and proactive Receptionist to join its team in a beautiful Midtown Manhattan office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality, and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced office setting.

This position offers much more than traditional reception responsibilities. You will serve as a key point of contact for the office, interact with employees and senior leadership across the organization, and play an important role in ensuring the office operates seamlessly.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and guests, creating a warm, professional, and welcoming first impression.
  • Coordinate visitor arrivals, meeting schedules, and conference room logistics.
  • Oversee conference room readiness, including meeting setups, catering coordination, and timely room resets following meetings.
  • Maintain office pantry areas, ensuring supplies are stocked, organized, and presentable.
  • Monitor office inventory and proactively order supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate breakfast and lunch meetings, ensuring all arrangements are handled seamlessly.
  • Provide general administrative support, including calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting preparation.
  • Assist with incoming calls, correspondence, and general inquiries.
  • Maintain administrative records, process invoices, and assist with expense-related documentation.
  • Partner closely with the office operations team to anticipate needs and ensure the overall office environment runs smoothly.

What My Client Is Looking For:

  • A naturally welcoming, service-oriented individual with a genuine hospitality mindset.
  • Someone who is polished, professional, personable, and comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels.
  • A proactive self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what needs to be done.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent judgment and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and think a few steps ahead.
  • Someone who is hands-on, flexible, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help wherever needed.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

The Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to join a supportive team and work closely with an approachable, invested manager who genuinely values their people.

The organization is looking for someone who wants to take ownership, bring fresh ideas, and make the role their own. There is also potential to take on additional responsibilities and grow into broader administrative or office operations opportunities as the organization evolves.

Position Details:

  • Location: Midtown Manhattan
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Work Arrangement: Fully onsite, five days per week
  • Compensation: Competitive base salary, plus annual bonus eligibility (approximately 5–10%)
  • Overtime eligible

If you are someone who takes pride in creating an exceptional office experience, enjoys being the person everyone can count on, and is looking for an opportunity to make an impact, I'd love to connect!
