Senior Power BI Developer – Financial Reporting & Analytics (PeopleSoft 0991)

CCI is looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to build a new financial dashboard suite for a client’s Comptroller’s Office, starting from scratch. You’ll be the lead developer: you design the data model, connect the sources and deliver dashboards that the finance team relies on for audits, year-end reporting and reconciliation. This is a long-term role. After the first release, you’ll keep expanding the suite with new dashboards, data models and reporting views as the office’s needs grow.

What you’ll do

• Design and build a master Power BI dashboard suite for the Comptroller’s Office, then grow it over time
• Connect, ingest and model data from PeopleSoft Financials, SharePoint and other sources, including non-standard PeopleSoft tables
• Build the full data model: table structures, relationships, calculated fields and DAX measures
• Find and bring in every field needed for accurate account reconciliation
• Build dashboards that support the annual audit, year-end financial statement reporting and grant expenditure reporting
• Handle monthly dashboard maintenance and ad-hoc reporting requests
• Write clear technical documentation covering data connections, transformation logic and design decisions
• Follow the client’s Power BI governance, security and data standards, and build everything in the client’s own tenant so the client owns all files from day one
• Work with the client’s IT team on environment setup and access
• Advise finance leadership on accounting workflows, internal controls and audit-ready processes

Required

• 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development, including enterprise dashboards in production
• Strong DAX, Power Query and data modeling skills (star schema, relationships, calculated fields)
• 3+ years of fund accounting / financial reporting experience, including reconciliation, year-end close and audit support
• 3+ years modeling or reporting on PeopleSoft Financials data
• Experience modeling SharePoint data sources
• Experience advising senior finance leaders (Comptroller, Controller or CFO level)
• Strong documentation and communication skills

• GASB / governmental accounting experience
• Experience reporting on grants or federal awards
• Power BI governance and workspace administration
• Microsoft certification (PL-300 / DA-100)
• CPA or accounting degree
