I am exclusively partnering with one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier multifamily real estate developers and operators to recruit a high-performing Senior Property Accountant.

No Real Estate Background? No Problem.

Our client is completely industry-agnostic. You do not need prior real estate experience to excel here. Whether you are looking to make your first industry pivot out of Public Accounting (Audit/Assurance), bring strong general ledger skills from corporate accounting in another sector, or already have a property accounting background, they will gladly teach you the business. If you bring strong foundational accounting chops, natural curiosity, and a drive to learn, you will thrive.

What You’ll Do

• Command the monthly close, prepare executive-ready GAAP financials, and deliver actionable variance analysis for a premier portfolio of properties.
• Work directly alongside regional operational leaders to evaluate trends, solve asset-level challenges, and optimize property-level performance.
• Direct cash flow forecasting, reserve draws, debt service compliance, and capex accounting for major renovation and improvement projects.
• Help streamline reporting workflows and act as a go-to technical sounding board for junior staff and AP team members.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience (Public Accounting, Corporate Accounting, or Property Accounting).
• Strong Excel capabilities (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP) and comfort working inside enterprise ERP systems.
• An analytical thinker who connects the numbers to operational reality, with a genuine appetite to master a high-growth real estate portfolio.
