Senior System Engineer

Qualifications:

• Must possess strong analytical skills.

• Ability to serve as and have expertise as a high-level, technical resource to IT staff and experience performing needs analysis, project planning, and resource scheduling.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to articulate user needs in technical and non-technical terms.

• Ability to establish effective working relationships With co-workers, County staff, and contractors. Ability to provide excellent customer service.

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field.

o Four years of related professional experience may substitute for the required degree.

Seven years of direct hands-on experience with installing, supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise

systems in a large, multi-user. multi-application environment.

Significant experience with ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes and principles.

Experience with physical and virtual server environments, including Windows, RedHat Linux, VMWare, 0365, and

Cloud.

Experience With ticket-based Service Desk software system.

Experience with virtualization technologies, Cloud technologies, System monitoring/alerting, performance tuning,

and resource optimization.

Preferred Education & Experience

Significant experience with Veeam. Zerto. and enterprise backup solutions.

Experience planning. testing, and executing disaster recovery and failover operations.

Experience managing enterprise storage platforms, including HPE, pure Storage, and Spectra Logic solutions.

Experience administering virtualization platforms. including VMware and Hyper-V.
