Job Overview

The Software Engineer - DevOps + Security at Harbor Health will play a vital role in implementing and managing robust software development pipelines while ensuring the security of applications throughout their lifecycle. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for software delivery, ensuring quality and speed.
• Develop and enforce security policies and best practices throughout the software development life cycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security tools and processes into existing workflows.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, reliability, and security adherence.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation strategies for cloud environments.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers in software security practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends related to DevOps and security, proposing enhancements as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on DevOps and security.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with security tools such as OWASP, Snyk, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

Technologies & Tools

This position utilizes a variety of technologies and tools essential for DevOps and security, including, but not limited to, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure DevOps, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, security monitoring and management tools, and configuration management solutions like Ansible or Puppet.
