Overview

SPAR Information Systems LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cloud AWS Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will take on critical responsibilities in designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS-based solutions to support our organizational goals. As a Senior Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers and lead initiatives that drive our cloud strategy forward.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based solutions using AWS.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to performance and reliability of AWS services.
• Work directly with development teams to build and deploy applications on AWS.
• Implement security best practices and manage the IAM policies for secure access to AWS resources.
• Conduct regular cost analysis and optimization of cloud infrastructure.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and help cultivate a knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and IAM.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and automation tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
• AWS certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent) are highly desirable.
