Overview

The Senior Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer at General Dynamics Information Technology is fundamentally responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions using GCP. Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in cloud services such as GCP Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes, and BigQuery.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.

Technologies & Tools

This position will involve working with a variety of technologies and tools including, but not limited to, Google Cloud Platform services such as Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Cloud Functions, and BigQuery. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java is required, in addition to tools for CI/CD such as Jenkins and GitLab. Knowledge of database management systems and monitoring tools will also be beneficial in executing job responsibilities effectively.
