You will build scalable, high-performance software while influencing engineering standards and guiding technical direction across multiple projects. Working closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, you will help deliver reliable solutions that support Lyric's healthcare decision intelligence platform.

This is a full-time, remote position open in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Lead design reviews and code reviews.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and Request for Comments (RFCs).
  • Investigate and resolve critical production issues to maintain system reliability and uptime.
  • Promote the adoption of engineering best practices, tools, and frameworks across teams.
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers to support their technical development.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including designing and delivering large-scale systems.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more backend or full-stack programming languages, such as Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, API design, SQL and NoSQL databases, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, and observability practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a high-growth technology company or fast-paced startup environment.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, streaming systems such as Kafka or Pub/Sub, or microservice patterns.
  • Background in platform engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications.

Compensation

U.S. base salary range: $150,289–$225,434 per year.

The salary offered may vary based on factors including relevant experience, education, and work location. The stated compensation range reflects base salary only and does not include the value of the total rewards package.
