The Wellness Department Manager leads our wellness team in delivering exceptional customer care, maintaining product excellence, and promoting health and vitality in our community. Overseeing daily department operations, vendor partnerships, and community outreach initiatives, this role ensures our shelves reflect quality standards and our customers receive knowledgeable, personalized support.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, train, and support a team of wellness specialists. Schedule shifts, set performance expectations, and foster a knowledgeable, helpful service culture.
• Vendor & Inventory Coordination: Oversee vendor relationships, coordinate product orders, manage department receiving, and maintain optimal stock levels aligned with store standards.
• Community Outreach & Engagement: Lead local outreach initiatives to build brand trust and customer loyalty.
• Service Quality & Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the retail floor offers an inviting, clean, and educational environment. Monitor customer feedback and coach staff on delivering informed guidance.
• Operations & Reporting: Monitor department performance, track sales goals, manage budgets, and report operational updates regularly to the General Manager.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry Experience: 2+ years of experience retail natural foods management or retail wellness department management.
• People Management: Proven ability to manage, train, and inspire a retail sales team.
• Customer Focus: Demonstrated experience in customer relationship management and retail service.
• Leadership Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in nutrition, wellness, or related fields are a plus.
