Job Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer II at Zip Co, you will be a critical member of our engineering team responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and applications. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and performance of applications.
• Automate operational processes and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborate with development teams to define, implement, and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents and outages, applying root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal tools that improve deployment and monitoring processes.
• Enhance the security posture of our systems by implementing infrastructure-as-code practices and ensuring compliance with best standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or similar role with a strong emphasis on DevOps practices.
• Proficient in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and software development lifecycles.
• Solid experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
