After you apply: claiming each week
After your initial claim, submit a weekly certification for each week you are unemployed; you can also file it by phone. Each certification is for the previous week: the earliest you can file is the Sunday after the week, and it must be in within 14 days of the week ending date. Report any earnings, including paid time off and severance.

How many jobs you must apply for each week
Oklahoma asks for 2 work search efforts a week. Exempt only if on a temporary layoff with a definite return-to-work date within 8 weeks of the last day worked, a member of a certified union with a business agent or hiring hall, or in approved training. The same employer for the same role can be repeated only every four weeks. Asking an employer whether there are openings does not count.
Keep a record of each week's efforts (EmployOklahoma or the OESC work search form) for two years; in an audit you must provide it within 5 business days.
